Legal Search Consultant
Brad Hunter
+

Brad Hunter is a Consultant specialising in private practice recruitment across corporate, commercial litigation, insurance, employment, construction, energy, property, and IP law. He works with lawyers from associate through to Special Counsel level across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide.

Recruitment traditionally works from the role as starting point, but Brad focuses on the person.

The questions he asks early are the ones that matter: where do you want to be in five years, what does the practice you’re building look like, what does the next move need to achieve? Once he understands the trajectory, he can identify the opportunity that genuinely advances it, not just the one that’s available. That long-term thinking is what candidates value. Brad knows their ambitions, their constraints, what they’re building toward. It’s why they come back to him across multiple moves over the course of a career.

On the client side, the same discipline applies. A placement holds when the recruiter understands what a firm genuinely offers, its culture, its direction, the reality of life there for someone at that stage of their career. Get that right and you place people who stay.

He holds a Bachelor of Business from the University of Technology Sydney, with sub-major in Business Law.
