Seeking to expand the Melbourne office with Corporate and Commercial Law capability

Solution:

Eaton had been working with a well-regarded boutique commercial law firm to achieve a merger with another firm. Initially the firm’s partnership was only interested in smaller firm opportunities.  Given the practice fit and opportunities on offer with the larger firm, Eaton suggested the option to the boutique firm and within nine months, the boutique firm had joined the national firm in a successful merger.

The merger achieved expanding the Melbourne offering for the mid-tier and a successful transition of partners and clients to a firm that had an aligned culture, clientele, fee structure and professional offering for the boutique firm.  In addition, there was an exit strategy available to senior partners when they are ready for that along with enhanced career opportunities for the junior partners and staff.
